I recently completed this shot, and another, for a calendar titled “Glacial Lake Missoula – Sanders County by Air”, with aerial photos by Dave Bennett.  This image was painted to show what Glacial Lake Missoula might have looked liked, and the massive 2000 ft ice dam that held back the waters.

  1. Beautiful! I’ve seen this image in my imagination and it looked very much like this. Now, can you do another from below the ice dam, perhaps as the ice gives way?
