Here is a new digital painting I just completed. I’ve been inspired a great deal lately by the works of Frederic Remington and Frank Tenney Johnson…..as well as centaurs for some reason.
Just returned from a horseback trip into the Bob Marshall Wilderness. The great part was that I was able to attach my painting gear onto the back of some unsuspecting mule. Another bonus was that I got to eat much better than I do on most of my backpacking trips. Here are my paintings from the trip, as well as a few photos.
I’m pleased to announce I will have 2 pieces of art coming up for auction this fall at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture in Spokane Washington. For more information contact the museum for dates and times.
I went on our annual Extreme Plein Air trip into the proposed Scotchman Peak Wilderness Area this weekend. This year fellow artist Aaron Johnson, and our guide Sandy Compton traversed up into the East Fork of Blue Creek. We saw some amazing country, discovered hidden waterfalls, ate many huckleberries, and created lots of art……and almost died, but that is par for the course.
