” A Lone Pine Winter”
6″ x 8″ Oil on Masonite
I bundled up and headed and headed out today for a bit of plein air. I was able to get all six of these done, before I had to finally succumb to the darkness. There were a few times that I started to get cold, but other than that a rather nice January day to be out painting.
“Winter’s Last Light”
5″ x 7″ Oil on Masonite
I rushed out with my paints right at the end of the day, just a few hundred yards from my house and set up for a quick plein air. Of course at this time of the day everything looks spectacular; right behind was another gorgeous scene…..if only I had more time and more panels with me. But that is how the game is played, only so much light and so little time.
