Winter is one of my favorite seasons to capture in paint. I am looking forward to getting out during this upcoming season. This is a painting that recently sold this summer at the Radius Gallery in Missoula, MT.
I recently completed this shot, and another, for a calendar titled “Glacial Lake Missoula – Sanders County by Air”, with aerial photos by Dave Bennett. This image was painted to show what Glacial Lake Missoula might have looked liked, and the massive 2000 ft ice dam that held back the waters.

I’m pleased to announce that this painting of mine has been included at the upcoming “Icons of the West” show taking place at the Dana Gallery in Missoula, Montana this summer. If you are interested in this work, or would like more info, please contact the gallery.
Just returned from a horseback trip into the Bob Marshall Wilderness. The great part was that I was able to attach my painting gear onto the back of some unsuspecting mule. Another bonus was that I got to eat much better than I do on most of my backpacking trips. Here are my paintings from the trip, as well as a few photos.
